AN INTRODUCTION TO MY PHOTOGRAPHY

 On this site there are hundreds of photographs, families, couples, lifestyle photos, portraits—they speak for me, letting you know my style and my preferences but you probably wouldn't be able to guess my process. Well, it's fun. Three decades of fun and thousands of photo shoots! This is what you get when you choose me as your Kauai photographer. Now for the boring stuff! I shoot full frame, high resolution digital. Then I curate the photos, and photofinish with enhancements that include color correction, illumination balancing, highlight and shadow adjustments, removal of clutter such as unwanted beachgoers, parasols, driftwood, and many other enhancements. I don't bring with me a makeup or wardrobe person. That means you are responsible for your makeup, hair, and wardrobe—so hopefully I won't have to fix any of those things whilst editing. Do you want me to do your photo session with outdoor lights? The 3-point lighting option, with a lighting technician, adds $480 to your Kauai photography package.

What's Included in Your Photography Package

  • A stylized high-end photo session shot with a high resolution, full frame digital camera and prime lenses.
  • A curated photo set with photofinishing that includes:
  • Color correction
  • Illumination balancing: making sure all people in the photographs are properly illuminated.
  • Highlight and shadow adjustments.
  • Horizon adjustments - when necessary.
  • Cropping if appropriate.
  • Removal of unwanted beachgoers, parasols, tents, surfers, driftwood, etc.
  • A private photo gallery - From where you can view, share and download.

The photofinishing for your photos includes many enhancements over images straight from the camera; it does not include retouching. If you want retouching the add-on is $150. This will include 5 retouched photos. Common changes are thinner arms or legs, removing sunburn or tan lines, fixing pimples or acne, or a wardrobe malfunction that might be ruining your favorite photo. Some requested changes might not be feasible. If you don't select "Retouching" and you want changes, I will fix 1-3 photos at no charge. Then the fee is $40 per photo.

What's Not Included (Fees, Extras)

  • Permit: if we do the session on a beach, the permit is $20. All beaches in Hawaii are state owned with a law that prohibits all commercial activity without an individualized permit. I will obtain your permit.
  • GET: In the state of Hawaii it is 4.5%
  • All the photos taken not included. I do my best to edit the very best of your session.
  • Retouching is not included
  • RAW files are not included.
